My live 3 broke down but only after 4 or 5 years of hard use. I needed a replacement quickly and decided to move up to the live 5. My opinion is you can never go wrong with the quality they build into their products. Their engineers and designers are genius level folks.
Love it!

I didn't know what to think when I purchased the Vocalist 5 but in the couple of years I've owned it, it has brought a whole new level to performance. The basic settings are fabulous and used on 50's through 80's music has added depth and dimension to my music. Can't praise it enough. One of these years I'll investigate the other functions and then look out. ..... but I cant pull myself away from the presets. Too much fun.
Awesome, but...

You will have to take some time tweaking it. I suggest using the Drunk setting to make it sound more realistic and just mess with the amount (or it will really sound drunk). I found that if I didn't, it sounded very robotic. It's a lot of fun. I have used it in one rock gig and it sounded cool. One complaint that is probably something I'm doing wrong is that when I have effects turned on I get a lot of feedback.

I can now sing

I can now sing like 'an Angel' pardon the pun. With the DigiTech Vocalist V live, even my uneven vocal abilities are right on the nail. This unit provides full harmonies and single voice if wanted. The Pitch Correction (PC)is REALLY PERFECT, it locks your voice right on tune. It has all the standard processing functions, reverb, echo, flang, ETC. Plus added harmony voices of male or female gender or both. It allows you to customise the harmonies to provide slightly off key and/or other natural sounding variances like speed of PC lock-on or rate of lock-on. I can go on and on but if you want/need it, it is there. BUY IT and SING
