DigiTech

Description

With the DigiTech DF-7 Distortion Factory Modeling Pedal you can have a satisfying smorgasbord of 7 screaming effects pedals in one stomp box. Distortion pedals are as important to the world of guitar playing as guitar playing is to modern music. So how do you get a whole spectrum of distortion tones? You can spend a fortune on individual stompboxes (and have a pedal board the size of Pennsylvania) or you can put the X-Series DF-7 Distortion Factory to work for you.

Now you can have tones from the Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer, EH Big Muff pi, Pro Co Rat, Metal Zone, and DOD Overdrive/Preamp 250 with a ton of EQ control to shape their sounds the way you want them. That's because the DF-7 features 3 dual concentric tone controls so you can customize each model with High, Mid Freq, Mid, and Low EQ, in addition to Gain and Level. The DF-7 sounds so good because it isn't just pedal models. The sounds modeled are the pedal interacting with the cabinet and tube characteristics of classic amps associated with each pedal. It's this combination that truly distinguishes the DigiTech DF-7 and puts its sounds leagues beyond most distortion stompbox modelers.

I'm a big fan of Digitech pedals, and this one is my favorite. Morphs 1 and 2 sound great with single coil pickups. Morphs 3, 5 and 6 sound great with humbuckers. Morphs 4 and 7 are a little weak, but great pedal otherwise.

I purchased the DF-7 pedal about a month ago and so far am very pleased with it. The sound is very clean on all channels (no garble in the background). This pedal is especially good for guitarists who like "sweep picking" or do solos because the sound is very clear. Since I play mostly metal, I prefer using channel 6 on the distortion modeling knob. The only real downside is the pedals dependantcy on an A/C adapter. Definetley try one out if you are considering buying one, you will not regret it.

Great pedal for the value. I have a Behringer low end amp and this pedal makes the most of the sound I have.

This pedal is so awesome. It has the most features of any distrotion or pedal I have ever used!!!! It has the 7 other pedals built in giving you a whole variety+ the low, mid, high+ gain and mid frequency and level!!!! Then with even more lows mids and highs on your amp and more gain it gives you soooo much variety it is overwhelming! Also, it adds more options if you have a line 6 spider 3 because then you can change the red and green crunch, blues, clean, and twang on the amp!!!!!!!!!!!! BUY THIS AND YOU'LL NEVER NEED ANOTHER PEDAL AGAIN!!!!!!

Giving you 7 different distortion pedals in one box, for the price, is a great deal, however I found some of the sounds to be a little weak (the Tubescreamer, and the DOD 808). The other models were mostly pretty good, but all lacked the warmth of the original pedals (except the Boss DS-1 model, that was spot-on). If you are into a lot of different genres of music and haven't found your sound yet, then try this pedal out.

This is the best distortion pedal I have ever used. Its extremely versitile because it has 7 different distortion sounds (I think 3 and 5 are the best). You can also change the sound as much as you like with low, high, and mid controls. If your looking for great distortion for any kind of music buy this pedal!
