The Defender COMPACT is a lighter-duty version of the Defender III system. The supports molded into the bottom allow the Defender Compact to be laid over a run of cables, thereby supporting the weight of crossing vehicles. It features black polyurethane construction with a ribbed, non-slip surface.

The unique COMPACT base is attached to the COMPACT itself to form a single unit. Reinforced in this way, the COMPACT can withstand extremely high loads. Even forklifts and lifting trucks can now drive over this crossover with no problem. The five cable ducts, each with a diameter of .9 in., provide ample space for many applications. If a line of several DEFENDER Compact units with base is assembled, the row remains stable even if a car drives over it.
