Dean
Description
Dean's Michael Amott Signature Tyrant is an affordable guitar that makes no apology with a lightweight mahogany body, set neck, and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The short 24-3/4" scale and "V" shape make this an extremely easy guitar to navigate with access up the entire fretboard. DMT Design pickups give you a wide range of great tones to work with – from sweet vintage to modern aggressive. Grover tuning machines, and fixed Tune-o-matic bridge offer stability and added sustain. Case sold separately.

Frustration review. I dont own this guitar or ever played it. Played a lot of Deans and I'm sure its awesome BUT, this guy here with the ONE STAR review...totally irks me. It looks like he's making Dean pay cos of the Fed Ex guy damaging the box but then after mentioning the nothing strings out of nut thing, "I guess it plays good"..really? Wimpy. Then the finale he makes Dean pay cos GC had the wrong specs, but Dean has the right ones on their site he says! 1 star review for nonsense...smh

It's beautiful, it's loud, it reflects light all over the place. Easy access to all frets. Bridge pickup is very powerful. Neck pickup has a warm, classic rock sound. Mirror pick-guard is incredibly cool.

  • Nut was not cut right, D & G barely on. Specs not correct.

Ordered online, picked up at GC. Box had damages, holes through both outer and inner boxes. Was looking for damages when opened, then noticed the D & G strings were barely in the nut slot. Not sure if the impact caused them to pop out, but the strings are barely in the slots. Seems like it had a good feel. The fretboard is not rosewood, but Jatoba. The pickups in it are not the same as the Tinman version, the neck is not the same. GC specs are not correct, look at Dean's site for correct specs.
