Dean Markley HELIX HD Electric Guitar Strings (CL)

Description
Made of nickel-plated steel, Dean Markley HELIX HD electric guitar CL strings are custom light strings that will give your guitar a sound like no other. It took over a year of many trials for the Dean Markley team to find just the precise elliptical shape for the winding wire that make up the patent-pending, Hyper-Elliptical Winding process of the Helix HD. This shape then had to be paired with the correct winding process that would produce these stupendous results-the maximum mass for the acoustic guitar string's diameter that still maintained the string's vibrancy.
The Hyper-Elliptical Winding process results in an increased number of wraps along the length of the guitar string. This increases the mass of your guitar string, without changing its diameter or material.
More mass makes the Dean Markley HELIX HD strings have a fuller tone; more windings give a smoother feel as well as a brighter, more resonant tone. This provides a smoothness and performance unrivaled by conventional electric guitar strings.
When you press and strum a normal wrap wire, your fingers experience resistance as they go down into each depression between the wraps. With the Dean Markley HELIX HD electric guitar strings you'll experience smoothness. These less coarse wrappings let your fingers glide more easily and smoothly along the surface of the wrap wire.

My new Helix rock. I found a OLD PACK at GC and use them for awhile the finally started to fade after about 6 of daily play.. I went back in and couldn't find them.. Went to Sam Ash they had the old pack too ?? I got em on line. The new ones are even better. The make my Gibson come alive. They have even started building calluses on my calluses, strong strings equal strong tone, not for the faint of hart or beginners
Avoid.

I always order 2 packages just in case a string unravels. The low E unraveled right away right out of the box. Luckily my other package was fine. All was good but a couple weeks went by and I noticed fret wear on my upper frets. Not good. I would avoid, although they sound and feel good, damage to the guitar is not worth it.
