These triggers will last if you take care of them properly and they trigger great with mesh or regular Mylar heads the only downside I see with these triggers is that they have to mount to the tension rod of the drum so to take the trigger on and off you have to complete loosen 1 tension rod or take the entire head off and depending on the tuning of the drum and the fact that it mounts on the tension rod it can apply unwanted pressure to the drum head and add unwanted muffling
I will keep buying from guitar center.

I just got these a few days ago and so far I love them. I am using them with Pearl Mesh heads(Muffle Heads) on my Acoustic set. My band has 2 drummers and I use mine as a percussionist/ Electronic setup. I am running them through a Alesis DM5 Brain. They are very responsive to the mesh heads and all sensitivity can be adjusted by the Alesis. This is a Quick review and I will wright more when we start touring in January and let you know how they hold up. They only down fall is how they mount on the drum If you can afford the extra money I would go with the pro ones but these do a good job so far.

I have used a few different types of triggers, some better than others, but I can honestly say this trigger is pretty good. It is not super sensitive, so if you have a lot of really soft sticking on the drums, it may not pick up everything. These triggers do not have an adjustment for sensitivity, but for the price, it is a pretty darn good deal.
