The Danelectro 6 String Electric Bass Guitar captures the essence and vibe of the original Dano instrument of 1956. This 6-string bass has the distinctive style and tone that many enthusiasts seek, while enjoying the advantages and stability of its modern construction and easy-to-play neck.

The 6 strings are slightly thinner than on a standard bass and are tuned just like a guitar, but an octave down: E.A.D.G.B.E. The bass has a short-scale neck that makes it an ideal instrument to explore altered tunings and/or bass soloing. The 30" maple neck with rosewood fingerboard has 24 frets and is fully adjustable thanks to its double-acting truss rod. Danelectro has fitted the 6-string Bass with a hollow plywood body and solid center core, making it light and resonant.

Two Danelectro lipstick pickups offer a surprising variety and quality of tone via 2 independent volume controls and 1 master tone. Other features include "Kluson" style tuners, clear plastic pickguard, and traditional rosewood saddle.
