Have not used yet. On first use will fold tightly and put in my head port hole. Will mic bass drum and lay pad four different ways to see which sounds best. 1st long way around BD shell not touching either head. 2nd Place one end against back batter head only. 3rd Place end against Front head only. 4th Place where both ends touch even portion of front and back heads. All checking with BD miced on stand at port hole. The deepest best sound without being too dead gets the nod for more permanent placement.
I recommend it!

Makes my Live Oak Bass sound deeper more punch! It had a tear in the seam but no big deal, the best Muffler I've ever used!
It's alright

It's a good product, it works, but it doesn't do anything that a regular pillow or blanket will do. It is simply fabric with pillow stuffing inside of it, very lightweight. If you have some extra cash and want to make your set more "professional", I say go for it, but if you are looking for a better sound with this thing, just use a pillow, it is literally the same thing.
Precise tone and louder bass

I was kind of hesitant to get this pillow because I thought it was too small and wouldn't muffle enough. I am used to putting a regular pillow in the bass drum (one that is wider). It turns out that it's a whole lot better having one with a narrower body. It muffles the bass drum because it dampens both the batter head and the resonant head. Thats all you need. It's very punchy sounding and booming at the same time. You wont regret it!

I have tried every Drum pillow and muffling system on the market and the DW is the best for the sound I am looking for. I've even had a couple made and its just not worth it. It's easy to use and gives just the right amount of muffling for both the batter and resonant head.
