DW 6710 Ultralight Straight Cymbal Stand

This stand is excellent. plain and simple. I use it as my ride stand and I can lay into and crash on my 22 K without any major movement. The build quality is excellent. The fit and finish is sleek and elegant. Its a timeless design with a modern twist, with a lot more rigidity than older counterparts.

Like most of DW's hardware, this stand just works. I personally like the included memory lock. However, others have noted that it adds weight and prevents breakdown to the smallest possible length. That being said, it's still the smallest, shortest, lightest stand in my hardware case. There's a lot of questions regarding the stability of DW's 6000 series hardware. It's constructed very well and should last the lifetime of your kit and/or cymbal. Mounting a 22" Medium-Light ride to this stand makes it wobble, however slight it may be. To clarify, I'm not the least bit concerned that it'll fall over or come crashing down on neighboring drums/stands. Would I mount a 22" ride and 18" crash to this stand? Absolutely not. Ditto for any combination of drum AND cymbal. Pro's: -DW toothless cymbal tilter -Light Weight -Functional -Looks -Well-constructed Cons: -Not as stable as it's double-braced relatives. -Price

Been using the 9000 dw series hardware and that stuff was getting real heavy to lug around. These stands are great quality with all the great dw features. They are light weight and they look real cool, great vintage vibe. They go with my new kits and vintage kits.
