Description
The DW 3000 Series double tom stand is a medium-weight, drummer-friendly tom stand that can be trusted to hold two rack toms, suspended floor toms or anything else drummers can mount on the two heavy-duty 0.5" rods. In contrast to built-in tom mounts that can interfere with bass drum resonance, this dual stand allows drummers the freedom to position rack toms anywhere for a truly custom setup. Especially useful for 5-piece configurations with offset toms that allow better ride cymbal access. Features include easy ball-and-socket positioning, auxiliary v-clamp and an integrated memory lock. Perfect for building a new kit, or upgrading from the stock stands that come with many all-in-one kits, DW 3000 double-braced hardware is trusted worldwide for its excellent build quality.

I've used the 3000 double tom stand for several years now and it turned out to be really great. I use this stand with a dog bone holding a 17 crash and a puppy bone holding a 10 splash both above the hi hat cymbals. It's really sturdy, no tipping issues even if your bass player backs into it. you guys know what I'm talking about. The tube diameters are smaller than the 5000 and 9000, so it is lighter weight; so I haven't used and wouldn't recommend this to be your permanent solution to hold 14" and 16" toms. however, it probably could because the double braced base adds some bulk and strength and doesn't wobble. Has memory clamp to lock in height. The clamp is really nice; its not the same as the 5000 and 9000 but the design is. no metal-on-metal contact; ball L arm holds really tight no issues. also has a multi clamp so you could use this to hold your 10" and 12" toms and multi are to hold crash cymbal. I replaced a 9000 cymbal stand with double tom clamp, this looks way better is lighter weight and cheaper. Now I know what you're thinking, same as me sadly... but people will know it's not a 9000. yes and no. drummers on Instagram will know, your audience won't so who cares. if you never move your drums or If DW gives you the 9000 and you have guys moving and setting up your drums than hands down that's the way to go. If you're normal than this one will work great for most situations.
