Good Buy
Well, this bass pedal is pretty cool, well made and pretty easy to setup. Looks to be well designed and well built. Very sturdy. Not cheaply put together or made. I like the feel of the pedals, seems to be pretty smooth action. I would like them to come with some better beaters, it's worth the money as is. Two things I found irritating but necessary was the velcro strips on the bottoms of the pedals. Kind of a pain when you set them up on a drum rug but when they are down they stick! The other is the beater adjustments are kind of hard to set the resting position from the head. I can loosen the set screws and adjust the beater but when you start tightening the set screw it wants to walk in the adjustment slot. If they could have knurled the surface to keep this from happening, it would have been much easier to adjust.I plan on swaping out the washers for some knurled washers to fix this. These are just minimal easy fixes, so all in all, a great quality low priced double bass pedal so it's still getting a 5 star rating from me.

Heavy
I bought these pedals almost a week ago so I have not spent much time with them but thus far I do not like them. I am not a strong fellow and these pedals are pretty heavy and require some muscle. The only other pedal I've used a $100 PDP so I don't have much to compare to but I like the PDP more. Spring tension is very adjustable, though, which is obviously a plus. The beaters it comes with are very nice as well.

I bought it for my 17 year old son because he used one on another persons kit in a gig and he loved it. Said it was smoother than his existing double kick pedal. #sweepstakes

I accidentally left my 9000 at home and I live over an hr away from where ai practice. Fortunately there's a GC down the street so I bought a 3000 as an emergency so I didn't have to cancel practice. I was blown away how easy and smooth a 3000 is out of the box. My only complaint is unlike the 5000 and 9000s is the extra flexibility asthey don't come with the option to add toe stops. No big deal I bought some but then the 3000s also have the fixed locking nuts that can't unscrew to add toe stops so I had to drill holes in the screws and use an extractor to remove them. Ounce I finished that extra hassle and added the toe stops, I'm extremely happy and now have an extra practice pedal that allows me to only use my 9000 for giging.
Great pedals, great customer service.

I've had these pedals for years. They are smooth, responsive, and hit hard. Probably better for adults since they are on the heavier side. I discovered a defect after my warranty with Guitar Center had ended, but DW still replaced them at no charge. Great pedals, great company!

does this work with a roland td27kv2 kick pad?
I don't think so. The kick pad doesn't seem wide enough for a double pedal.submitted4 years ago

Will this pedal work with a Roland VAD506? Trigger area is fairly small.
I don't believe it will. The rim of the sensor will be hit by the beaters.submitted5 years ago
