VERITAS is a completely new category of electric guitar strings, designed to combine more power with longer life. Players say VERITAS strings with Accurate Core Technology and Quantum Nickel last longer and have more power than ordinary nickel-plated strings.  

Quantum Nickel is more magnetic, and therefore, more responsive and powerful than ordinary NPS 8% nickel-plated wire.

Accurate Core Technology (ACT) was developed to reinforce the core wire and fill in imperfections along its entire length. Players say VERITAS strings sound louder, brighter and last longer. Their superior core wire is recognized as the foundation for tone, accuracy, and durability.

    A friend rebuilt an old guitar of mine and put these strings on it. I could not believe the sound! So I bought more of the exact some ones and I'm putting them on my other guitars now, too. Love them! I also use DRs on my electric/acoustic and they sound fantastic, too!

    First set of DR Veritas acoustic guitar strings (12-54), surprised to find the 2 extra 'Xenon' plain strings but figured what the heck and tried them. These went on my Cole Clark Fat Lady (redwood top, blackwood back and sides) and I immediately heard the difference in increased volume and clarity, along with a distinction between each individual string. The Xenon strings had a different feel and seemed a bit stiffer than 'normal' plain strings but after a few minutes I became comfortable with that and the improved tone was well worth the minor change in feel. The improvement in tone and projection was immediately noticeable and not just the typical 'new strings sound better'. I'll try them on their first gig tomorrow. As for the 'long life' aspect.. we'll see, however I change strings a lot more frequently than most. So far I'd recommend trying a set and see for yourself.

    DR already made the best strings on the planet, but they've taken it up a step with these. The Veritas strings just explode to life. Rich, deep bass. Clean, snappy mids, and crisp, chiming highs. They are very articulate and sound phenomenal. They do last longer than any other non-coated string in my experience, but no they don't last as long as coated strings (neither will any other non-coated string). As far as breaking goes, they are strong. I haven't broken one yet, but obviously if you leave them (or any other string) on long enough, they will break. Give DR Strings a chance, they well impress you!

    As a gigging musician I try a lot of products and am always seeking out anything to improve my sound...have to say that these are definitely worth a try if you are recording or are looking for that extra volume you know is there. Great value as well...they claim it is all about the core and that makes sense to me.
