i put these on my black schecter damien fr a while back and it looked really cool. sure the red wore off where you pick a lot, but its only a small section of the string that turns silver. when you first pull them out of the package its like, whoah, cool. and its that effect whenever you play cause they feel like youre playing covered in KY jelly its so fast. and yeah they last a pretty long time too.

The guy at the guitar center I stop by every now and again recommended these to me when I bought my Line6 spiderlll 75 watt (awesome digital solid state amp btw). I decided I'd give them a try since I experiment with different strings for my playing style often. They sound good for a little bit, but they pop. A LOT. I'm done experimenting, Dunlop is the best for all my fellow metalheads. I play a lot of metallica, Dethklok, Lamb of God, and some of my own thrashy stuff. You don't want these, especially if you perform.

Got these strings for free when I bought my SG 61 reissue @ GC in San Francisco, and they are actually WORSE than the stock strings that came with the guitar. After few hours of shredding the red coat started peeling off and now it just looks like "guitar-mange", feels like old rusty strings and is just annoying to play. Looks really good when your guitar is on display, probably good for rythm guitarist but if you are a shredder or a bit of an aggressive style, stay away. Dissappointed.

I just got my red devils and they look sweet and sound even better. They have great tone. I have not put a lot of playing time on them yet.So i hope they last a while. But so far they are worth the price. If they last, they will be the only strings i buy.

Well when I first took these strings out of the box they looked really sweet. When I put them on my guitar they still looked cool, but within the hour of playing them, the good tone in them was all used up. After probably 12 hours of playing, the coating was wearing off, producing a odd looking silver red string. Also were the fret was on the non wripped stings The coating was coning off, producing a extremely bumpy string-especially for sliding. After not too long my G string broke at the twelth fret while I was doing a half step bend. That was the first ever string I've broken and overall I don't think Ill buy DR's again.

  • Good Strings at a good price.

I have been using dr extra lifes for 2 years now, I won't play with any other strings. They have great tone and a unique look. Great sustain and a longer playing time makes it very worth the buy.
