Bought 2 sets, for 2 different guitars. After stringing them, I noticed 2 were a bit frayed at the bridge, and one broke on each guitar within a week of light use, but they broke at the tuning peg. One popped my daughter in the face and gave her a nice cut.
The worst strings I've ever used

I have used DR strings before and haven't had any issues with them. Typically I can get 1 or 2 shows out of a good set of strings. However, the red devil strings did not even last through putting them on the guitar and tuning them. The .009 string unraveled at the ball while I was tuning up. The coating was falling off from using the pick, and the tone was horrible. These are easily the worst strings I have ever used and I would caution anybody that unless you are using them to decorate a guitar with, don't buy them.

They're durable, but I think they may limit the brightness of the instrument - you know that initial "new string" zing you have the first day, when open chords sound chimey as hell? These dont seem to have that. But once you get past "day 1" when most strings lose that anyway (it seems the clear coated "nano" coating ones dont losse it that fast BTW) these are durable and stay in tune. I have never broken one of these Worth the $

I strung these babies on my transparent red strat and they sound fantastic. The first thing people comment on when I bust out my guitar is how cool my strings look on my guitar. Because they're coated they will last a pretty long time and also you'll know when you should replace them because the majority of the red coating will be worn off

These strings are colorful, with the little kick of color really needed to snap back your interest in iguitar playing. I restrung it on my floyd rose, and instead of cutting off the ball ends, i just strung it backwards. The strings are very durable and hand made. Nothing more you can ask for. The color doesnt come off very easy either, only if something metal comes in contact with the strings.
