Strings are such a personal choice. So here's where my review comes from. I've played just about all the "affordable" strings out there...except maybe some of the coated strings. In my experience I have developed a good ole stand by, (it's a different brand as of now)...but with a new bass, I'm wanting to change things up a bit. These strings on my stingray....sound pretty aggressive and articulate. The feel of these strings is slightly different than what I'm used to, not necessarily in a bad way....but different. I'm assuming due to the compression wraps. Overall, I'm happy I tried these...and I can recommend to anyone looking for a more modern aggressive sound.
