You like clean mids. I know it. You like punchy lows with a lot of sustain. I know it. You like highs that sound like you're trying to fight the lead guitarist in a tone battle. I know it. Break these strings in and enjoy your bass again.

  • I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing strings

I have used these strings for decades I have had a few sets last up to 3 to 5 years and still kept their intonation and precise note/pitch from nut to bridge! They work great for very low action! Never a bad note "EVER" And as boosted "They Do Not Eat Your Frets" Also Not a lot of String Squeak. Obviously I love these strings! And You Will To.........

These strings were recommended by a guitar center associate when I went to the store in St. louis to ick up a new bass. I decided to give them a try and I was very happy to find that these strings were as good as I was told. They feel great and they sound amazing. Definitely worth the extra couple bucks. This is my second set. I got another set from the store while I was there.

I love these strings because they give you a very bright tone and a deep tone. You can cover all styles with the same set of strings. They don't stay bright for more than a couple of weeks without boiling them, but I don't know of any other strings that do. I have to say, Guitar Center is excellent for calling to let me know I had unused store credit that I could use to buy strings. Good company. I wish they carried Fat Beams at all their stores, but they shipped them to me very quickly.

What makes DR Fat Beams different from DR Hi-Beams? In terms of sound and specifications too.

    Open Reply - Beau
The DR Fat Beams would have a slightly lower bottom end and the Hi Beams would be a bit brighter. Their specifications would be the same.
