DR Strings DDT Bass Strings Demo

DR Strings

Description

The first thing you will notice about these strings is that they go right into tune and lock in. Players say they are "so stable it is almost eerie." Now you can stand and deliver in tune notes at lower pitch that are clean and clear. Expect more and get more. Change tunings and be surprised how DDT's lock right in. Be surprised how little adjustments you make. DDTs deliver far more than just heavy gauges. Drop with confidence, drop with accuracy. DDTs maintain their intonation at lower tunings far better than any other string we have ever played or heard. Designed over a two year build and test period to answer the needs of the dark side."

The DDT strings from DR were ordered for a a particular bass, a Dean Hillsboro Jazz, that has trouble staying in tune. I normally used DR Lo-Riders Nickel (40-100) on my other basses. This went a long way to handling the stay-in-tune problem. They seem to have "locked in" to where they are tuned each time I tune for play or practice. My only complaint (very minor) is that the stainless steel is a bit rough on the fingers coming from nickel plating. DR strings are still the best out there no matter which style you buy. They also last considerably longer that any other strings I have used in over 30 years (I've used almost everything on the market).
