Description

DRs EXTRA-Life Black Beauties offer guitar players a superior black coated string without sacrificing the crisp tone, clarity, and volume of traditional DR HandMade Strings. EXTRA-Life is a super thin advanced .0003" coating on the plain electric guitar strings and on the wrap wire for added protection.

DR's remarkable, and proprietary, patent pending K3T Technology Coating is the first coating that makes no apologies and no excuses. Players say these strings have less unwanted overtones, more volume, great clarity and articulation than standard uncoated strings. Yet, they provide the same protection against corrosion due to humidity and perspiration as well as the increased tonal life coated strings have come to be known for.

    Not what I expected. Like nylon strings but now little black pieces of string coating all over the neck. Won't use them again.

    Keep in mind what color of guitar you're putting them on. I put them on a black guitar, which looks really cool, but I have a hard time seeing them. Being a beginner makes it difficult to play. If I was experienced, I would buy them again.

    I've had two sets of these strings. The first set, which I had several months ago, seemed to last FOREVER. They were great, and kept tune very well. The second set, which I bought about a week ago, have lasted me not even the week. In the past week, I've had three of the strings break on me. I was not abusing these strings at all, so I am not happy with the amount of time this particular set has lasted me. Overall they're great strings, just this last set, not so much.

    i havent bought these strings online but bought a pack from the store near my house. These strings seem to last FOR EVER. Plus they look super cool with the black coating. Even when they start to break.. which doesnt happen for a while.. the remaining strings still stay in tune and seem to handle anything i throw at it. BUY THESE STRINGS YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!
