A fine instrument for reasonable price!
I play this guitar at home and at open mic nights. Upon receiving it I had to do slight adjustment to lower the action. I sanded off approx.1mm of the saddle to lower the action and tighten truss rod 1/3 turn. I Installed D'Addario 10's Phosphor Bronze Strings. The guitar action is smooth and fast. The Acoustic sound is moderate mellow lows and crisp highs. Amplified the sound adjustments produce a great sound for performing. The onboard preamp has a nice tuning meter for accurate tuning. Overall well pleased with this D'Angelico Gramercy CS purchase.

Meh,,,Not for me
Meh, and meh.. I bought this as a "vacation guitar", last time we went to the beach, i visited local GC looking for a $200 beach-beater and couldnt find one. This one may qualify as that for some, but the small neck does not fit my big mitts very well. Has more of a Fender strat-shaped neck. I prefer a bigger, flatter neck. Only played it for 5 minutes before I posted to sell it local. Luckily I got it on SDOTD, so hoping to sinply cover my costs, and continue looking. To return was gonna cost 13.99 plus shipping to Kansas, hardly seems worth the trouble to take that hit.

Blown away at how nice this plays, sounds and stays in tune for a couple hundred. Came with no neck adjustments needed, tuning is rock solid, preamp sounds fantastic. Love the satin finish neck which is closer to electric than a standard acoustic. Primary guitar is a '78 Guild D25M.
do not buy its not worth the money

to start the tuners are super stiff and creaky they will barely move and the built in tuner does not tune the guitar right it ends up tuning it too low compared to my normal tuners i use. Another thing is that when i play chords the buzzing is louder than what im playing and i cant hear myself play. after not evem 5 minutes i put it back in the box. definitely not worth the money.
Really nice guitar - great value.

Having had poor luck with online purchases before, I opened this D'Angelico guitar in my local Guitar Center in front of their luthier. We inspected it together and found it was set up perfectly. Fretboard perfect, action low but no buzzing anywhere. Neck straight. No flaws at all. Intonation spot on.
