Worth it at full price, even better that it's discounted.
I got this guitar as a birthday present from my wife. I went into the store not expecting to buy another electric. I was testing amps and grabbed this off the rack and fell in love. It plays so evenly a cross the entire neck. The Seymour Duncan's sound warm and clear at the same time. I usually gravitate towards DiMarzio pickups but the 59 and jb work very well in this guitar. Don't be fooled by the jazz association with this guitar. This guitar can handle rock and even metal distortion. The middle of the body is solid so feedback is not hard to tame. I play through an Axe Fx 3 and Mesa Mark V into a Mesa 4x12 cab with celestion century vintage (older version neo magnets). Physically the guitar is built well. The frets needed a bit of polish, bit no leveling. They were dead even from first to 22nd. I have my action low 4/64" bass side and 3/64" treble. I don't have buzzing unless I play hard. I can even play unplugged and get clean notes without having to pick lightly. The upper fret access is pretty good and you can reach all but the 22nd very easily. The 22nd is accessible cleanly but I'd you have large hands it might get hard to do ascending runs that high on the neck. The hardware is good but you miss out on some luxuries at this price point. To be the ultimate budget guitar it would have to have a locking bridge and locking tuners. The nut is cut well for the string gauge it comes with (10s) The tuners are easy to turn and have a smooth motion. However it is a bit easy to miss your target. The truss rod is responsive immediately. Once I set it up to my liking the neck hasn't moved. The fret ends don't really like out due to the binding but you may have the odd sharp fret here and there. I polished my frets with micro mesh and metal polish. They now feel almost as smooth as stainless steel. If stainless is a 10 for smoothness, these are an 8 once polished. If you're looking for something different and classy but want to still rock out this guitar is for you.

Tried a lot to find one that felt right for my first step up in guitars. Neck is slim and feels right in the hand. If you are a modern c strat player, this falls in that line, maybe even a touch thinner. Fits my stubby fingers better than a thicker neck like on the 335 and 339 styles I tried. Pickups are clear and articulate, really barks when you throw some dirt on it.
This guitar plays and looks outstanding! Great !
