D'Angelico

Description

Upgraded for 2019, the Excel SS has re-asserted itself as a modern standout. A 15" wide single-cutaway semi-hollow, the SS is lightweight, punchy and versatile.

Perfectly balanced Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers provide savory vintage tone, while a slim C-shape neck profile offers maximum comfort. Revered by players from Bob Weir to Kurt Rosenwinkel, the SS is no stranger to stages—and its full center block easily fends off unwanted feedback.

Includes hardshell case.

This is a beautiful guitar that feels and sounds great, I've owned Gibsons, Epiphones, Washburns each had their own pro's and con's. This D'Angelico is a fantastic instrument and extraordinary bargain. I can't recommend it loud enough, it's great!!!!

With respect to D'Angelo guitars, what is the difference between Excel, Premier, Deluxe models?

    Open Reply - Kenneth
The Premier Series was introduced to offer well-crafted D’Angelico guitars at a more accessible price point, while the Deluxe Series houses feature-heavy versions of Excel Series favorites. The Deluxe Series features all unique matte finishes, and models with double-humbuckers come with a six-way toggle switch for coil-tapping capabilities. D’Angelico introduced the “Excel” model, a smaller, more streamlined iteration of its predecessors
