I have a few solid body and full hollow guitars, and wanted to try a semi hollow. I would not have looked at this price range, but GC had a used one in pristine condition priced in competition with Epiphone, Ibanez, Sire, etc. This guitar is definitely a step up from those in playability, sound, and versatility. The body is very resonant, and the sustain goes on for days. Hardware is all rock solid, and the full range of tonal control gives me all the sound variations I need in my blues/rock/classic pop cover band. Its received many complements from my bandmates. When I picked it up I went to a friend"s home, where we A/B'd it to his Gibson es 335. We agreed it compares very favorably, but that the Seymour Duncan 59's are not quite as hot as the Gibson pickups. They still will drive the front end of the amp when cranked. Overall, a great semi hollow addition to my collection.
