D'Angelico

Description

The D'Angelico Excel DC XT semi-hollow electric guitar offers unique upgrades to the standard Excel DC. With a throwback scroll-style headstock and a decadent laminated quilted maple top, the Excel DC XT features deep, comfortable cutaways and a slim C-shaped neck profile that enhances playability along the entire fingerboard. Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers provide an impressive tonal range from vintage-voiced warmth to glassy high end, while a center block removes feedback at high volumes. Additional features include a rosewood fingerboard and vintage-style Grover Imperial tuners.

This is truly a high quality instrument. Right up there with my Les Paul, Fender Telecaster and PRS 509. Excellent fit and finish, playability and sound. If you're looking for a 335 type do yourself a favor and try one of these. At the regular price it's worth the money and at the sale price it's a steal!

Attention to detail on this guitar is phenomenal. 7 ply headstock binding, 5 ply body binding, bound fretboard with mother of pearl and abalone inlays, SD 59's, quality electronics. Does everything I want a 335 to do, but in a tuxedo. QC is top notch, highly recommend!!!

The previous question asked if this guitar has coil splitting pots, and the correct answer is that it does. The neck and bridge tone pot are push pull which coil split the humbuckers
