D'ANGELICO ELECTROZINC STRINGS

Description
The story of the string begins more than 75 years ago. In 1938, John D’Angelico was already a living legend known for his signature archtop guitars, while John D’Addario was a young kid trying to expand the family string business. Their chance meeting would result in the invention of the world’s first modern round wound electric guitar string, the zinc-coated Bethanized Steel. Its sound was unrivaled in fullness, volume, and brightness. Its tone would be featured on some of the greatest records of all time. But the closing of the Bethlehem Steel plant in the ‘60s put an abrupt end to its production, leaving its sound unmatched for over half a century. Until now.
Today, D’Angelico and D’Addario have re-forged their storied partnership. Combining modern innovation with John D’Addario’s original designs, D’Angelico’s Electrozinc string is the truest tribute to Bethanized Steel since the original. And D’Addario’s EXP technology coats every string to maintain its classic tone even longer. Electrozinc will be available in six gauge variations, suiting players from all traditions—from hard rock to swinging jazz:

Best strings for me!

Loves these stings. They are great right out of the box. I'm used to getting strings and waiting for the overly bright tome and tuning stability to set in,....not with these. The feel and play great!

I've been trying to find a new sound for my music. I've been uninspired by the guitars in my arsenal and even thought about buying a new hollowbody. I was given these strings from a friend who was at NAMM and decided to give them a shot. As soon as I put them on I was immediately impressed. They feel great. very comfortable and seem to be lasting forever. The sound they add is just incredible. I just found out that Kirk Douglas of the Roots has been playing the 10s as well. I would recommend these to anyone.

I went gung-ho and bought these strings because I am really getting into Jazz. I began to put them on my new D"Angelico guitar. I started with the 6th string. The big thick string. The new string broke. Bammm! (Note: These strings were touted as being more for Jazz sounds. That's why I bought Them). I had a spare E from a D'Addario string set that I used instead. I then quit. I'm sure I will continue at a later date. But man that was the first time I have ever busted a big E string and it had been well over 10 years since I had busted a string. I am shell shocked. But like I said next week I will try again. That's why the strings get a 3 star rating. Was it me or the string?

By far the best strings I have ever tried. I knew once I put them on my electric guitar that they were going be the only ones I'd use anymore. Sound awesome and feel great! I'm telling all my friends about these strings!!!

Love this set of Electrozinc. I was looking for something a little more substantial then a regular 10-46 and this hit the nail on the head. The wound G and slightly thicket gauges is perfect for me.
