D'Addario NYXL Strings - Pitch Stability Test

Description
Envisioned, perfected, and manufactured by DAddario in New York, this newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon steel core and plain steel alloy delivers a whole new level of freedom, confidence, and power. NYXLs provide more strength and up to 131% greater tuning stability by utilizing a completely reinvented wire drawing process coupled with a revolutionary fusion twist process for the plain steels.
The reformulated nickel plated string windings have greater magnetic properties resulting in higher output and enhanced mid-range frequency response for more presence and crunch.

Features
- High carbon steel alloy for unprecedented strength
- Improved tuning stability compared to traditional nickel wound strings
- Wound strings with enhanced mid-range frequency response in the 1 - 3.5 kHz range

Nice strings. Smooth bends and solid tones. Have them on my 6 and 7 string guitars. They work very well on my fan fret guitar also.
My go to strings

Years ago I switched to NYXLs from the Ernie Ball Cobalt coated strings after a recommendation. These outlive any other brand I've tried, and sound brand new the whole time. I don't recall ever having one break on me, even after 6 months to a year of play. I've heard others complain of these not lasting long due to their sweat corroding the strings, and that may be true for some, however I have not experienced any major wear.
Okay. But overrated

These strings are good tension-wise and they are strong. However when I first put these new strings on, the homogenous strings corroded within hours. I have tried many other strings and these ones just really don't do it for me. They are definitely overrated as D'Addario's high-end line of strings. Doesn't matter how bad you sweat, these strings WON'T last you more than a gig.
