These nickel-plated strings utilize a breakthrough wire drawing process and advanced corrosion-resistant coating to deliver peerless tone, tuning stability, and durability. The NYXL1052 set is tailored for guitarists seeking maximum versatility and control, delivering a deeper low-end than Regular Lights.
Unparalleled Strength and Tuning Stability
NYXL strings are built to bend farther and sing louder without sacrificing tuning stability. D'Addario's revolutionary tin coating and high-carbon steel core provide 131% more tuning stability and unrivaled strength compared to traditional strings. The NYXL1052 set stands up to aggressive techniques while maintaining pitch.

I've been using NYXL's for nearly 3 years now.
I've been using these strings for years now, and I've honestly never been disappointed with the quality D'Addario puts into their products. When I buy strings I expect them to last a long time as I don't get the spare money all the time to buy strings. I used one set of strings for almost 7 months before I changed them out, and even then I could have used them for much longer before they broke. For the last 3 years I've been using them, I've only had to buy 4 or 5 sets of these strings. Just yesterday I got a brand new guitar... unfortunately I forgot to buy any NYXL's with my purchase so I just had the factory strings on... (Ernie Balls.. ew)... Within an hour my top E string broke on me.. I've not used any other strings in so long that I forgot what it was like to break a string, LOL! Absolutely fantastic product, won't buy any other set of strings.

Probably not
They die just as fast as the cheaper EXL, altho they do sound a bit fuller, and bend a bit better. I personally don't think the price tag justifies it if i'm still changing strings every week.

Heavy strings tend to have warmer lows, these are no exception. Their playability is whatd youd expect for higher gauge strings, a little harder to press down (unless youre one of those psychopaths with an action of plancks length) but the trade off for a warmer overall sound is well worth it to me. If youre looking for warm lows, mids that punch, and highs on the quieter side (but still present nonetheless) these are for you. Oh yeah these things stay in tune well too. I have crap tuners and these have not moved even a quarter out of tune, even with some half decent bends.
Love these strings they are favorites

The strings sound incredible, are extremely consistent, feel great, and are long lasting. I love the extra heft in the bottom strings, as I play a fair bit of drop D music. Now, if they would only offer this set with a wound third, I would be ecstatic!
Works great!

These strings feel nicer than the standard daddario XLs I normally purchase. It's nice to know that with the price increase, actually comes an increase in quality as that's not always the case. They have a somewhat tighter feel, which works for what I need them for. They also seem to last a decent bit longer which I love. All in all, I'd definitely buy these again.
