Description

Gauges: Plain Steel 9.5-11.5-16-24-34-44

NYXL09544 is the ideal "step-up" set for players who are moving up from 9 gauges, or players looking to balance the tension variations between shorter and long scale length guitars.

D™Addario NYXL guitar strings will bend farther, sing louder, and stay in tune better than any string you™ve played before. Envisioned, perfected, and manufactured by D™Addario in New York, this newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon steel core and plain steel alloy delivers a whole new level of freedom, confidence, and power. NYXL' provide more strength and up to 131% greater tuning stability by utilizing a completely reinvented wire drawing process coupled with a revolutionary œfusion twist process for the plain steels. The reformulated nickel plated string windings have greater magnetic properties resulting in higher output and enhanced mid-range frequency response for more presence and crunch.

These are definitely pricey for guitar strings but for how good they sound and feel, and how rarely I have to change them, it's a no brainer for me every time. Wasn't sure about the 9.5 gauge but turns out it's perfect for me. #sweepstakes

On a 25.5" scale guitar 9's feel too sloppy to me and are too east to pull out of tune by accident. 10's feel a bit stiff on whole step bends and start to lose a tiny bit of definition on the bass strings. 9.5's are just right! AND NYXL's are just great strings and they hold up long enough to justify their higher cost.

A good idea, guage-wise, if you find that .009 is too light and .010 is too heavy. Excellent strings.
