D'Addario

Description

The D'Addario NYXL0946 Super Light Top/Regular Bottom Electric Guitar Strings are nickel wound strings designed for players seeking a combination of comfortable playability and balanced tension. The NYXL series utilizes an innovative corrosion-resistant tin coating and high-carbon steel core to provide 131% more tuning stability and greater magnetic properties, resulting in higher output, enhanced midrange frequency response, and more sustain.

Super Light Top Strings For Fast, Fluid Lead Playing

The three lightest strings (9-11-16 gauge) have been designed with a super light top for fast, fluid lead playing and string bending. These high-tensile strength strings can handle aggressive techniques while still retaining their pitch. Their enhanced magnetic properties also help single notes cut through the mix with clarity and focus.

Balanced Tension For Comfort and Control

The medium bottom three strings (24-32-46 gauge) provide balanced tension and a solid low end. Their lighter gauge makes barre chords and complex chords comfortable and accessible while still handling dropped tunings with ease. Combined with the super light top end, these strings offer an ideal blend of comfort, control and power.

Unparalleled Strength and Tuning Stability

NYXL strings are engineered to handle extreme bending and aggressive playing styles with superior pitch retention and tone. Their high-carbon steel cores and corrosion-resistant tin coating provide over 2 times more strength than traditional nickel-plated steel strings. This groundbreaking combination of tone, power and tuning stability gives players the freedom to push their technique without fear of string breakage or going out of tune.

Premium Components and Lifespan

Like all D'Addario strings, the NYXL series is built using the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Their advanced coating and core technologies work together to extend string life while optimizing tone. When combined with D'Addario's stringent quality controls, the result is a premium high-performance string set with an exceptionally long lifespan.

Only string I will buy anymore! Awesome

I tried these for the first time 6 months ago when my EB's starting breaking on my Les Paul, which are hard to keep in tune anyway, so I tried the 10/46 set. Wow..could bend, hammer and still in tune. Recently switched to the 9/42 set and love them. Easy to play, slide up and down the neck, and bend off the charts! Now all 3 of my guitars have them on, even my Schecter with 24 jumbo frets ....smooth and clear as a bell. Highly recommend these!

I like Elixir Nanowebs more than D'Addario NYXL's

Like always, I asked for Elixir Nanoweb strings, but the man at Guitar Center insisted that the D'Addario NYXL's are better. THEY AREN'T. I wonder why Guitar Center employees push some products over other products. Especially inferior products like these D'Addario NYXL's. Restringing is a pain. Now I'm stuck with these. I wish customers could just buy what they want to buy.

You know what they are. Solid long lasting strings. Hex core keeps them bright. I use them on my really dark sounding guitars.

These strings sound great in dropped tuning and pair great with active pickups like EMGs.
