Y'know how heavy round wound bass guitar strings just don't have any flexibility?? Well EXL220 XL Nickel Round Wound Super Light Bright Electric Bass Strings aren't that, they're super loud and super flexible, and I'm a semi-pro player from the 70s and 80s and I'm from the day when Rotosound and GHS BOOMERS were all the rave. But these light gauge Nickels are hand savers. and SMOOTH baby smooth to play!! To coin an overused cliche`, they're like BUTTAH!! They really are.

These are very good strings, especially for the price (about $15.) The nickle winding is excellent and give them a bright sound. I think that they are as good as any light gauge string at any price. The low E is kind of light and give an indefinite sound, but that is because the are so light 95.
