D'Addario EXL158 Light Baritone Electric Guitar Strings

Description
D'Addario EXL158 Light Baritone Electric Guitar Strings are specially designed for modern baritone electric guitars. This 13-62 gauge set opens up a world of possibilities. The nickel-plated steel wrap over a high-carbon steel core produces a bright, balanced tone that handles everything from jazz to metal.
Optimized for Down-Tuning and Baritone Scales
Created in close collaboration with leading guitar makers, the EXL158 set is calibrated for baritone guitars and standard electrics tuned down to B or C. The lighter 13-62 gauge gives baritone players a comfortable feel with clear, ringing tone. For standard guitars, this set enables experimenting with lower tunings without a loss of playability.
Versatile Tone for Any Genre
D'Addario's XL strings are revered for their versatility and the EXL158 set is no exception. The nickel-plated steel wrap wire produces a bright tone with crisp highs, punchy mids and controlled lows that suits any musical style. From hard rock to jazz, blues to progressive metal, this set handles it all with dynamic tone that cuts through the mix.
Built to Last
D'Addario is dedicated to quality and the EXL158 set is built to withstand the demands of performance and practice. The high-carbon steel core provides a stable base for the nickel-plated steel wrap wire. This combination produces strings that hold tune and tone for a long lifespan. For baritone players and musicians experimenting with lower tunings, this durability means fewer string changes and more time playing.

Amazing for drop tunings!
Some of the music I play is very "heavy" and I've used many strings trying to get it to sound tight and defined. D'addarios baritone light, stay tight even on normal guitars. My 25.5inch scale length axe stays in tune and deadly with these strings. They also last a long time, feel great, and sound bright and defined even with the lower tuning I play them with, Great Strings!!!

I normally play with heavier gauge strings because I like to really dig in when playing chunky riffs. These aren't bad strings but I much prefer heavier gauge. These were thrown in as part of the deal when I bought some things from GC. D'Addario makes some great strings and feel wise these were great. Just not what I'm use to anymore.

I got these strings to test string tension in lower tuning on a 6 string. I knew daddario would be my go to. And the string guages run thicker than on anything I have on my 7 strings. They did great for B standard and not bad in drop A. For not being a multiscale I was pleased with the outcome.
