D'Addario EXL116 XL Electric Guitar strings are world-renowned as "The Player's Choice" amongst guitar players of all genres and styles.     Perfect, I just take out the 11on top and add a 62 or 63 on the bottom... wish they had a set that already did that.

    Very nice warm tone. Sounds better than the strings that came on my Washburn 7jv. Stays in tune well.

    I put these on a JS32T kelly. It's an "okay" guitar. Not bad and not really good, but priced very well for what you get. I set these up on it, stretched them, and tuned it to GCGFAD. Wow is the only word for the difference. Like the other reviewers said, these strings do drop tunings VERY well. These strings ring so perfectly, it would compliment anything blues to thrash metal. GREAT sustain. Long, but not so long that you have to consciously adjust yourself. The strings grip and bend well, with an intuitive feel. I will say I would recommend a lower gauge for normal and higher tunings.

    I just switched to these strings after seeing that Mark Tremonti used them. I figured if they're good enough for the best, then they're good enough for me. I was right. They are great for soloing and great for Drop Tunings. Anyone who likes that heavier sounding, edgy sound, these strings are for you.
