These are my favorite strings to drop down a 1/2 step to a step.

I got stuck thinking the 10s on my Strat were too loose for my taste but the 11s felt like wire so I was pleased to find the 10.5s. They aren't the perfect tension for my taste but they play nice. I would prefer the top strings from the 10-46 set (they .048 feels a bit odd, but better than the 0.049 with the 11 set). Think I'll stick with them for awhile.

Find 11s to heavy and 10s to light, try these strings. I have used Ernie Ball for 16 years and these are the first strings that I like better. The tone is awesome and that lil' bit more really feels good under the fingers. I can't say enough about the tone. I discovered these by accident as I bought a a custom made off brand Tele and the builder strung these on it, I was blown away and bought some for my other guitars. My Strat came to like with these on it. You can't go wrong ,get a set and see for your own ears!

I've been saying for years that I wished someone would make a string set with the bottom end of a set of 10's but with a just a little more hair on the top end. I love these strings! I play Blues, Jazz and some Funk and regular 10's always seem to be too thin on the 1st and 2nd string but 11's feel too much like bending a small cable. These strings feel perfect. No problem bending at all AND the 1st and 2nd strings no longer sound like amplified rubber bands! I believe that I have found my strings!
