    Yes, these strings cost an arm and a leg, but are they worth it! I had been using Galli GR40 Titanio Class hard tension silver plated strings with excellent results but they have become hard to find, so I took a chance on these. Don't let "semi-polished" in the name put you off: the degree to which the bass strings are polished eliminates all noise from finger tip contact (assuming good technique).
