    Got a set of these for my spare acoustic. Can define all the way to Drop A# and keep a consistent tuning. Typically leave it in C# or D standard, or in alternate tunings. I leave my other acoustic in E standard for when I need it. Tuning these strings up to E standard puts a lot of stress on the guitar, and the strings are super taught and fast flatpick strumming causes a shucking sound from any pick that's more than .60mm thick. Great for fingerpicking though, nice full sound.

    I bought these strings for my Crafter acoustic. These strings have an incredible sound and are perfect if you want to do some drop C tuning on your acoustic. The extra bronze on these strings give you a very loud, bright tone. They sound great on a recording too. Great for some old fashioned blues riffs or some low-tuned acoustic rock. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE STANDARD TUNING. Don't even go to drop D. You have to go in drop C or you'll snap your guitar's neck. I even worry a little about doing a standard tuning a step lower (D, G, C, F, A, D). That top string really puts on the tension. Anyway, these do have a great sound, but they go dead very VERY quickly. My strings were dull as all get out and even a little rusted after two weeks. If you're ordering these strings and paying for shipping, you might as well get two or three sets all at once. You wont regret it because you'll love the sound, but you'll be replacing them often. Get some strings cleaner and a good cleaning cloth while you're at it. That way, they might actually last over a month.. Overall, I consider it a win!
