Slow Service at Guitar Center

My wife thinks Guitar Center has the slowest service in the world. I go there to buy a set of strings, D'Addario Phosphor Bronze lights. I know what I want when I walk in the door. A simple set of $5 guitar strings. No big deal, right? An hour later, I leave with the strings. An hour? You know how it is. You can't just go in Guitar Center and get a set of strings. Gotta try out the acoustics (fell in love with a Seagull), goof with a few electrics that I have been looking at on line. Pick out a bass (and I do not even play bass). Check out the amps. Keyboards - a room full of keyboards. Mixers, mikes, and PA speakers so if I ever get good, I can put on a show. I found a used Epiphone Les Paul Standard for $250. Too bad I only had $5 and had to settle for a new set of strings for the acoustic. BTW - I find these strings to be bright and crisp and work well with my rosewood guitar. And the good thing about them - they are not a coated string that never wears out. Can't wait that long to go back. You know how it is.

You get what you pay for.

I usually use Elixir strings. They are the best but they are expensive. Couldn't resist the price of the D'Addario. Thought to myself, how bad can they be? Lets just say I had to take them off and get a good set of strings and replace them. My decision to go cheep turned out more expensive. I won't do that again.

Smooth playability and durability. I put these on my Martin D-10 and they fit perfectly. I'll definitely buy these again in a few months, or once they break. #sweepstakes

First time re-stringing my guitar. Fairly easy, strings holding up fine.

I've been playing a Yamaha APX600 for 4 years and had (stupidly) never changed the strings. It was super hard to play. Decided to go with these, and the sustain is crazy. The notes are ringing out for about 15 seconds. Playing is so much easier, despite the fact that the gauge is the same as the factory strings. Will buy again!

  • I only buy D'Addario strings, they are the best

To me it's a great product. I keep all five of my guitars in cases and I feel confident the humidity in each case is constant. Very easy to use. I check weekly to see if the packs need replacement and each pack is replaced as needed. This product prevents me from worring no matter what the outside humidity is.
