D'Addario EHR320 Half Round Super Light Electric Guitar Strings

These are excellent strings. I have used them for years.

Great tone , they stay in tune, good for string bending

I purchased half round strings to tone down string noise when moving fret hand positions as well as to get a slightly warmer tone from my guitar. These strings delivered on both counts. That annoying sound when moving frethand position is gone and these strings are slightly more mellow. Highly recommend these strings as a replacement for round wounds.

My reason for purchase was to decrease some string noise from my guitar and not be as rough on the fingertips as other D'Addario strings. They are supposedly half-rounds, partially ground to a smoother finish but not slick like a flatwound string, but honestly, they only feel slightly different. They don't sound bad, and are fairly bright, maybe perhaps a just little darker than regular strings. I don't feel it's worth the price differential.
