I play in two bands, a country band and a rock band, and these are the best sounding strings I have used to date.

Love the smooth tone and quietness of flat wounds. If you need more brightness..redo your EQ!
When needed i will buy them again

Having tried many different type and brands of strings over the years, I have finally settled on the CHromes for my basses.Since I do not like the total bright sound I get from round wounds and many flats are too dull, these are a breath of fresh air. The will give that mellow sound, but they are also bright enough to use in almost any situation. I have them on my Rickenbacker 4003, my Ibanez SR505, and my Fender P-Bass Special. Works for me!!
