Great cables

I was still using my 30 year old "Whirlwind®" cables for my 30 year old Fender Tele and I thought everything was just fine. Then I read an article by D'Addario about old cables and the sound they produce. So I bought a 15' foot one of these cables. UNBELIEVABLE. All those little clicks and whirry sounds were gone. All I could hear was the sweet sound of the guitar. I did not know that a bad cable could reduce bass and midrange so much, and make the highs crackle like that. I have other cables but it seems that the ohmage of those cables was not correct for instrument to amp, but was more for electronics to electronics connection. I noticed that the volume of the guitar went up after I started using these cables. There is an article on the internet about these cables and why they are better than others. You should read that article.

No, I would not buy this cable again!

I used this cable lightly and at home only for 4 months and it has stopped working reliably. Acts like the wire core has broken internally and only functions when the cable position is moved around till the internal wire core is touching again. Once it is moved it cuts out again. Total piece of junk! Buy another cable. Perhaps the worst thing is I contacted Guitar Center both at my local store and online (purchase made online) and Guitar center refuses to honor any warranty!! They will not replace the cable or offer a refund!!! They said you are on your own!!!. Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable dealer not Guitar Center!!!!
