The Planet Waves Microfiber Polishing Cloth is made of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. One strand is 10 times finer than silk and 100 times smaller than a human hair. Microfiber is preferred for its very lightweight, super absorbency, and rapid drying properties. The polishing cloth rapidly absorbs up to 7 times its weight in moisture and can be used safely on any surface. Polishes your guitar to a brilliant shine.

I had been using a simple lint-free cloth to wipe down my guitar, but this micro polishing cloth really makes a difference ... and it's a good size, similar to a full paper towel sheet. I've already added another one to my wish list when it's time to get new strings.

  • Yes , I will buy again.

Some people have told me you don't need special cloth to clean guitars , I think they should polish there cars with sandpaper. Scratches on a guitar make it look used , mine still look new. Use Microfiber quality and you will be fine.

This cloth is soft and just the right size to keep in your guitar case. It's great to have for a quick wipe after practice or gig. It seems to polish well without the use of any solvents. For tougher grimes, just use a little bit of warm water and then dry off with this cloth to polish. I got a light gray cloth not green like in the picture.

What can you say about a piece of cloth? Well it's not just a piece of cloth. It is as the manufacturer describes. You don't need any polish, it does remove prints and dust without any residues. It will keep your clean guitar shiny. It won't remove goo or buildup, but then its a polish cloth so don't expect more than that! This is a must have. Show your axe you love it and get one. It won't help your playing but nobody will notice you suck as much when their admiring your shiny guitar!

The Planet Waves Microfiber Polishing Cloth (Item #PW-MPC) is hands-down the best cleaning cloth you can get! It traps dirt, grime, fingerprints, drool, etc.; and is even washable! With this cloth, I'm able to do a great job polishing my instruments using only a bit of Pledge sprayed into it. I'm keeping at least one of these in each of my instrument cases!

Can this be used with other string instruments? How do you clean it?

Yes it can but it depends on the finish. Some higher end finishes on some instruments may react to it and cause the finish to blister or change color.
