    This was for my daughter who is learning to play. We didn't want to spend a fortune but didn't want a toy either. We read tons of reviews on various models and this brand was always at the top of the list. The Cordoba Protege is a great ukulele, feels substantial, looks nice and she hasn't put it down once. Very pleased.

    I just got this uke today, and I couldn't be more pleased. I am an intermediate player. The sound is just absolutely great, and the design on the face is pretty cool. It came with an owner's manual and guitar guide. Being the first ukulele I'be bought for myself, I know that this one is going to be a great one. The store associate that helped me highly recommended it. I've been playing it all day and have found it mostly to stay in tune.

    is tihs solid wood or a laminate? How does it differ from the Cordoba 15CM,... in all aspects aside from price?

    the top is solid, the back and sides are laminate. That's the main difference from the 15CM also.
