Cordoba 30T-CE Tenor Acoustic-Electric Ukulele

Description
The 30T-CE is the first of Cordoba's 30 Series, a premium line of boutique, all-solid tenor ukuleles approached from a classical or Spanish guitar-building perspective. Most notably, Cordoba is using an integrated neck joint or "Spanish Heel" instead of a traditional dovetail joint to join the body and neck of the ukulele. This method of construction offers a lighter weight and more stable heel joint that increases resonance and is less prone to movement as the ukulele ages. Cordoba collaborated with renowned luthier Pepe Romero Jr. on the 30 Series, adopting Romero's vision of building ukuleles as if they are small guitars using traditional Spanish building methods. The result is an incredibly lightweight tenor ukulele with a deeper and wider body, featuring a Spanish heel neck joint, fan bracing, and a wider fingerboard for easy playability.

This is a great ukulele when you get a good one. The bridge on the first one I received was noticeably cockeyed and off center. Couldn't tell if it affected intonation or not, but it looked wonky. I returned the first and ordered another. The second uke is great! Plays well and looks beautiful! The action is a bit high, but that will be no problem to correct. The pickup works well and sounds great through my amplifier. Based on the first unit, it seems like Cordoba has a problem with quality control. I recommend that you play the unit before purchasing or buy it from a merchant like Guitar Center that has a generous allowance for returns.

I bought a Cordoba 15CM concert ukulele last January. Been playing the guitar for years. Kinda got the hang of it so I upgraded (kept the 15CM) to a Cordoba 30T-CE Tenor ukulele. The sound is just spectacular especially when I hook it up to an amp. My friends couldn't believe it's a ukulele. Nice case, too. Very nice case.
