    I was looking for a medium-hard mallet. A friend recommended the Clevelander line, and I chose these. It would be nice if the Clevelander product descriptions were more descriptive of about soft/medium/hard value of their mallets. The heads are not attached squarely to the shafts, so they are a bit lopsided. But they are very comfortable when held in the right position, and I really like the sound.
