Gauges: 13-17-26-36-46-56

Cleartone medium acoustic guitar strings feature the finest phosphor bronze available for the warmest and brightest resonance on acoustic guitars. A unique treatment called EMP coats the entire string with an ultrathin protective film. It's the thinnest coating ever applied to guitar strings (less than one micron) and will withstand more abuse from hard strumming than coatings 1,000 times thicker. EMP ensures longer string life by protecting strings from corrosion due to skin acidity, salt and moisture without compromising feel and sound.

Super-high tension winding over a hex core is used to maintain tuning consistency throughout performance duration.

These Guitar Strings are good. As a passionate acoustic guitar player, I am always searching for strings that can enhance my sound and playability, and these strings have exceeded my expectations. The phosphor bronze material delivers a warm and rich sound that truly brings out the full potential of my guitar. Whether I am strumming chords or picking intricate melodies, the tone remains consistent and resonant across the entire fretboard. What sets these strings apart is their longevity. The coating not only protects the strings from corrosion and wear but also ensures that they maintain their bright tone for an extended period of time. I no longer have to worry about changing strings frequently, allowing me to focus on my music without any interruptions. Furthermore, the playability of these strings is good. The medium gauge provides just the right amount of tension, giving me a comfortable and responsive feel while playing. Whether I am performing live or practicing in the comfort of my home, these strings never fail to deliver in terms of both sound and playability. Overall, I recommend these Strings to any guitarist looking to elevate their playing experience.

These strings do in fact last longer than elixirs. They also have more punch. However, if you're trying to slide up and down the neck... good luck. These strings feel like they have some resistance on them that keep your fingers from sliding. I'll stick with the elixirs. They may not last as long... but I like the way they feel.

These last waaayyy longer than any other coated string I've tried and are just louder. Elixers have a pretty heavy coating and they are usually dead sounding for the first day or so.....not these, they sing when they're tuned up and they are the loudest strings I've tried. My old first choice (Alchemy) is now my backup choice. Good product, I would like to seem them get in the price range of other coated strings.

I have used Elixir and Cleartone, as well as a variety of uncoated strings, and Cleartone was definitely the best. I have used them for about a year, playing on an Ovation CC24, and they still sound nearly as good as they did right out of the package. I like them better than Elixirs because the Elixir Polywebs I used on my Ovation before I switched flaked too much coating off. So, I decided to try Cleartone, and I don't regret it at all. I recommend them to anyone who wants great tone and long string life at a reasonable price.

  • I'll stick with Elixir Strings

After reading a review in a magazine I thought I would try Cleartone strings. The experience was far less than satisfactory. I have used many brands of strings in my 40 years of guitar playing and have used Elixir strings for quite some time, because I like coated strings, and after trying Cleartone strings, (because they said they were superior to the leading coated strings), promptly took them off my guitar and put the Elixirs back on. A couple of the strings sounded so dead, right out of the box, you would think you had them on for a long time. Very disappointing buy, especially since I could have bought Elixir strings at a cheaper price. Elixirs have never failed me. Cleartones did not have the punch, sustain or ring that I was used to getting from Elixir Strings. I'm not sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch for Elixir. I just know what sounds good and what doesn't and Cleartone is clearly a bad tone to my ears.
