This is one of the best 412s you can get, metal handles, yes! It's also one of the most expensive. The Celestion G12H30 heritage 55 hz speakers (I opened up the back and checked) are AWESOME! Great clean sound and overdriven. Can be a little bassy at times (it was originally a bass speaker, after all) but EQ can mostly compensate for that. I strongly prefer the straight cabinet over the slanted one. I had both and compared them extensively. The straight one sounded more "focused", like the speakers were all working together, sharper, clearer and more present. The Slant sounded "farther away" and not quite as clear. However, the slants design makes it easier to hear yourself, and although I prefer the Straight Cab Sound wise, I think the Slant looks better. The sound difference probably isn't as noticeable when they're not side by side, so it just depends on what you value more. But both sound great. This cab is a beast and you better have people to help you if you plan on moving it regularly. (Although it's manageble to do it yourself occasionally) I really don't think many people will need all the power this thing can provide, so if you just want a 412 because you think it will sound better, I honestly recommend looking into something smaller. 212 is more than enough. But if you absolutely HAVE to have a 412, this is the one to get.

I have the 2013 1960AHW cab, and it is the real deal! Perfect for classic and hard rock tones (and I play a little metal too), spectacular bottom end with the 55hz G12H 30w greenback speakers and great cleans too. Believe it or not, I'm using this 4x12 in a home studio with my '78 Marshall JMP MKII (master volume) - love it! Ton far exceeded my expectations. This is a beautiful and solid cab that would hold up to gigging - all hardwood, metal handles, metal casters. Note: most photos of the cab don't show the grill as it really looks; the grill is black and light gold (not salt and pepper, not black and white). The Marshall logo is white with the face of it being all gold (for some reason they look completely white in most photos). Very classy warm vintage look. Also, they no longer come with the '100' in the upper left corner - it is just the 'Marshall' logo on the front. Couldn't be happier - and I'm picky!
