Love the flexability , & Brightness! The BIGGEST PROBLEM I have is the Guitar Center I Shop in Canton Michigan on Ford rd. does Not carry this( Gauge Medium Lites in StocK?)??????WHY///???I am a Professional Player & cannot obtain strings over the counter!!!Ever! With a new Salesman "everytime" I enter store It Takes at lest 30 to 45 minutes to place an order with there inexperience ! I have to barter with price & then pay extra shipping & handling & Then Wait 6 to 10 days to recieve my Order???Then they are shipped in a Plastic bag & I have recieved full sets of damaged strings that were Bent in shipping!!! It,s a total pain in the Butt!I have asked the store to Please keep them in stock for me to no avail!I perform weekly & go through strings rapidly, To order online the strings are even more Expensive??? & same wait period.I have had to go through this over a dozen times this year alone Customer satisfaction Rates no stars!

This strings are amazing! I Have never been too much of a fan of Extremley bright strings, but these things have converted me. I Was using Warwick Red Box strings and these things beat them, to death. they'v got the clarity I'v been dreaming of, and Coming from a REALLY Cheap bass! Features: With my P bass's tone controll all they way up, these things shine as gold, and give the treble I needed out of my 15" Combo. With the tone Low, they thump like a P Bass should. Quality: Hand made in USA? What would you expect from the quality? Value: these things are Cheap, GET THEM NOW! Overall: I dont think I'll change these things any time soon, thank you. When I do, ill go for the same strings.

These DR Medium-Lite strings are equipped on my Music Man Stingray double humbucker bass (tuned to standard E). They totally compliment the amazing sound that my axe already puts out. Right off the bat, a difference is felt in the playability of these strings as compared to its competitors. They feel natural and have an ease to them. They are extremely responsive to both pick and finger style playing. The sound from these strings are like none other. They aren't too bright and aren't muddy, even when they have been on a bass longer than they should be. The sound has a good balance between the higher and lower registers that make them preferred by all myself, my clients and friends... and they never turn back once they put a set on their favorite guitar. Stick with DR if you are looking for a string that holds its tone through the rigor of playing shows back to back and don't get extremely floppy when burnt out.

These are probably the best strings out there. They last forever and have this great sound. Call it "growl", "zing", "piano tone" or whatever else you want they just sound great. These are not the strings for you if you like the classic dull thumpy bass sound these are for more modern tones. This set is the normal long scale set. If you have a bass with a string through bridge and/or an extended (over 34") scale you might need the "long- neck" set.
