I am currently using this in a single 1 x 12 cabinet driven by a 5 watt tube amp. Compared to the original speaker ( Celestion 8 inch 15 watt) this speaker is louder at the same volume settings. It has better bass response and more headroom before breaking up. Still breaking in the speaker but so far good. I only wish that they had put a mounting gasket on both the front and back of the speaker flange.
Great speaker

Replaced stock Jensen speaker in a Hot Rod Deluxe. Improved the overall tone quite a bit. Tighter lows and pleasurable highs.
Cut those muddy mids!
