Casio Privia PX-870 Digital Piano

Description
The Casio Privia PX-870 digital piano provides a superior grand piano experience with unparalleled sound and feel. Featuring Casio's award-winning AiR Sound Source and Tri-Sensor II Scaled Hammer Action keys, the PX-870 authentically reproduces the resonance and responsiveness of a premium grand piano. With a stylish cabinet, powerful 40-watt speaker system and a suite of practice tools, the PX-870 inspires brilliant performances for players at any skill level.
AiR Sound Source Delivers Stunning Piano Realism
At the heart of the PX-870 is Casio's proprietary AiR Sound Source which provides four-layer stereo grand piano samples for rich, dramatic tone. String resonance and key-off simulation further enhance the realism by exposing the harmonic relationships between notes. With 19 instrument sounds and ample 256-note polyphony, complex pieces sound perfectly natural.
Tri-Sensor II Scaled Hammer Action for Expressive Playability
The PX-870's 88 Tri-Sensor II Scaled Hammer Action keys provide an authentic piano touch from the heaviest bass notes to the lightest treble notes. Textured ebony and ivory finishes absorb moisture and prevent slipping for comfortable extended play. Adjustable touch sensitivity and hammer response can be tailored to suit any playing style.
Innovative Sound Projection System Envelops the Listener
Casio's powerful 40W, four-speaker Sound Projection system fills the room with rich, detailed sound for an immersive listening experience. Volume Sync EQ ensures balanced frequency response at any volume, allowing the sound to radiate as it would from a grand piano. Connect up to two sets of headphones to the 1/4" jacks for quiet practice using the dedicated Headphone Mode which optimizes the sound for headphone playback.
Practice and Recording Tools for Developing Skills
With its Duet Mode, the PX-870 lets a student and teacher play side by side. The 60-song Music Library gives you a diverse song collection to play along with, and you can record your own performances to the 2-track MIDI recorder. Slow down the tempo of the 10 Concert Play songs without changing pitch to help build skills. Store your favorite songs to the PX-870's memory for quick recall.

I play for myself and think the piano sounds are accurate for the price. Unfortunately, the noise coming from the keyboard action is very distracting (Even with headphones). It seems like they could have done a much better job of bedding the keys in felt to dampen the clatter.

Best piano I have ever owned

To be fair, it's the only piano I've ever owned. Purchase in December to teach myself how to play. Chose it because of the weighted keys, price, and because it matched my living room decor. I have played it almost every day since purchasing.
Great home piano. LOVE IT!

This Casio PX 870 has a very realistic sound and feel, and I love playing it. I would prefer if the most important functions were more accessible. To make adjustments to the hall effects and string resonance, for example, you must read the instructions and use the included diagram. Hold the function key, and press the corresponding note to get the effect you like. Other than that, this is a great instrument. Casio did a great job creating a digital piano that plays and feels very much like an acoustic piano. This is a piano. The best sound is the grand piano. I am not into the other tones. Very worth the money for me. I have played Yamaha's, such as the p125 and p515; not to knock them, but I enjoy this more, even though it is not very portable. This is not a gigging instrument. It is for your home.
Last Casio Product I will ever buy

Bought this new model after months of research deciding over Yamaha, Roland and others. Order from Guitar Center and delivery were great, showed up in a week. Problem is, the keyboard dies/stopped working 2 weeks later. I then had to drive it to a service center, where it has been for nearly 2 months, 4 times the length I actually had it working in my house. The repair center hasn't been able to get the shop manual from Casio as it is so new, and is waiting for parts to just try since they haven't given troubleshooting info to the service centers (getting mailed copies of manuals from Casio?!?!). Worst part? I bought the accidental breakage protection from Guitar center but didn't want to use it on this as I assumed it was something simple. Keep in mind that the piano was plugged in to a surge and battery backed up totally protected outlet so no chance it was power surge or otherwise related. Garbage construction, garbage quality control. Completely unacceptable and while I "planned" in a few years to check out the Grand Hybrids from Casio I wouldn't take one for free and will stick with Yamaha/

Is it easy to transpose? I currently have an older, smaller Casio keyboard that has a transpose button allowing me to transpose easily at the press of a button. This is important to me. I don't see a transpose button in the pictures.
