Great if you know understand the purpose!

I read several reviews and went into the store to actually hear and feel this keyboard. I came to the conclusion this is a great product if you understand the purpose of why you would purchase a folding keyboard. In my situation, I am on the road and my truck is my office. I am not an over the road truck driver, but my day is in a vehicle. I have down time at some job sites. When I get home, I only have about 30 minutes to dedicate to practice. That's if I am not exhausted, when I could have or use something like this great portable keyboard that folds to continue my learning of the keyboard. It is compact and able to break out during those down times and work on finger and hand placement with timing. If you are a beginner or just someone who needs something to be able to work out the kinks of the instrument this is ideal for those who would not normally have access to a keyboard while working a full-time job. Everyone who is complaining about key touch sensitivity or speakers, stop it. If you show up to a gig with this, I would tell you to go home. Seriously, no one is taking this to a gig!! For the price it is spot on and not worth a penny more. I have the 88 keys and although the bass is muddy at the lowest register I understand that I am not using this for it's sound solely. If I paid a great deal of money, and $130 is not for any new or used instrument, then I would possibly bark more. If it holds up 2 years then it was worth the investment, if I use it and my keyboard skills are improving. For those who are considering purchasing, know why you are getting this keyboard to begin with and you will save yourself a headache and some blow money. I have not used as a MIDI, and don't plan on it. For that I just use my 25 key AKAI MPK Mini, which is phenomenal. The ONE thing that would make this product better is a locking function so you don't NEED a flat surface. Remember I am in my truck. Luckily my bass reunion blues bag is always with me.

it's excellent for on the go producers.

i bought this thing for traveling and in that regard, this thing is great. extremely portable and easy to take out and put up. however, the keys are shallow, very shallow, almost akin to a low profile keyboard. a producer may not notice the difference, but a pianist would think this thing unusable. which is a shame cause i think this thing works perfect as a on the go midi keyboard. i wish it didn't require a flat surface as well, if it held its own shape, this thing would hands down be one of the best travel midi keyboards for on the go producers and engineers. also the speakers are pretty bad, but that can be adverted by using a speaker or a set of monitors. the sound bank is pretty solid too. i also wish it had weight responsive keys.

We bought this product for a kid to practice while on an extended vacation and it was perfect! We obviously didn't use all of the features, as she is just beginning lessons, but it's compact size was exactly what we wanted.

I have practiced an intermediate piano accompaniment on this folding piano for the last 2 weeks. It allows me to build muscle memory. With headphones, and using the provided pedal, it sounds close to a traditional piano. It's enabled me to practice for a performance while away from home. It does have limitations: because the keys are shallow, I make more mistakes than usual, since the black keys aren't tall enough to act as "bumpers". Some keys give more resistance than others. It is awkward to practice on, since I don't have a long, narrow table. I try to be careful when unfolding and setting it up since the hinges seem delicate. If my toddler were to get hold of this piano, she'd wreck it. It needs careful handling. But overall, it gets the job - piano practice - done.

Ideally this would be amazing, I was sold on the unique portability and it looks so cute in the tote bag it comes with. But it sucks. I bought this carry on keyboard expecting it to be bad but not this bad. I hate this keyboard and it comes with so many warnings it cannot be placed near the TV or on the tv stand it just feels like more of a hazard. I should've listened to the bad reviews but even some bad reviews said 5e least this would do is provide a good practice keyboard. But won one under 8years old should practice on this and even then it doesn't feel safe for a child. #sweepstakes

Easy to use. Great price keys are small board could be wider and it could be more playable Sound is nice though.

It make a good child's toy, and should be priced as one, even marketed as one.

I am teaching myself piano in my 40s and needed something I could practice with on the road that fits into my carry-on luggage. And also cheap, since I'm not sure this is an endeavor I'm going to keep up and want to see how far I can go with this before investing more than $100. Nothing else fits the bill. Yes, it is pretty much a toy piano but for the kind of portability I need, it's the best thing out there. I only wish it had bluetooth audio. I think if I can get pretty good, then it will make me really appreciate getting a real piano at home.
