I do understand that this reverb unit has arrived to some folks with the springs accidentally detached from shipping or something. This makes them occasionally not work brand new out of box. However, I ordered mine thru a company that took returns and turned out, I didn't need it. The pedal that arrived, I think, is amazing.
Solid, portable, reverb tank with a good tone

This might be my only truly essential pedal. Digital reverbs are great, there are awesome and creative example out there. But I can kick this. Real springs, baby. Great tone, easily matches the nicest pedals Ive tried (emulating springs), but not as deep as -say- a Twin Reverb. Three 9" springs... so thats what it sounds like. Like a better BluesJr reverb. Having the ability to jump between two settings (tone and volume) makes for smooth transitions between a light jump and a deep crash. The tone knob controls a lot of the drip -which isn't as pronounced as a larger reverb- and gives you bright and mellow sounds. And you can kick it.
