*** GOOD LITTLE UNIT ****

I bought this little guy a few weeks ago. I perform by myself in a small restaurant, and I am happy with it. I would defenitly recommend it for someone who is on a budget and needs some good basic lighting. I gave it an overall 4.5 because I haven't had it long and have yet to see the the dependability, but it looks good to me.

not sure where to begin

I do like the lights. For the money you can't beat them. The sensitivity to the sound may be a little excessive but that may have to do with placement during a gig. aside from that I have no complaints with the lights themselves. Ordering from Guitar Center on the other hand was kind of a task. After a couple days of not receiving an email to pickup my order at the store I called and the rep told me these were currently at store # XXX. I called store XXX and they claimed they weren't available. I called back the rep and explained the situation.....15 minutes later I got an email stating my order was ready. When I went to pick up the 2 sets I had ordered they were in 2 different boxes, one of which was duct taped and missing some of the foam packing and the power supply in each box was different.....one was substantially longer than the other.

    Real good, real inexpensive. I am not having much luck with the lights synchronizing to the sound, but the speed adjustment control works well.

    Mounting bracket is in the way of power cord limiting movement dramatically. Supplied power cord is way to short to be used. Standard pole mount brackets (even Chavet's own) cannot be tightened onto pole because knob is blocked by light bracket. Only two adjustments (speed and sensitivity to sound). They interact and have to be played with to get the appropriate chase timing. Lights cannot be all turned on, cannot be individually turned on. Two of these do provide adequate light for small stages.
